Arguably Christchurch’s most loved pubs, I love Pomeroy’s for their old English and Kiwi-style pub fare, service and their amazing selection of craft beers. There’s a pool table and even a small library to relax in.

The ultimate Christchurch pub, I love Pom’s for their 31 rotating craft beers on tap and in bottles. Their pub fare is incredibly popular and inspired by the motherland. There is al fresco dining, perfect for the whole family.

Sinking into a plush leather chair I'm grinning from ear to ear as I take a hearty swig of my Habanero Sculpin - a spicy, hoppy creation straight out of beer geek nirvana. Gazing around through a fog of pure contentment in Pomeroys old English style pub - I feel at home in it's brick and timber laden, rustic surroundings. There's 31 taps (31 TAPS!!!) pouring all sorts of classic Kiwi Brews from Emmersons to Tuatara - with 15 which stay the same year around so that your favourite beer never deserts you in your time of need. The pub snacks menu nicely compliments the tasty beers, offering up comforting goodness such as home made pork crackling (good lord) or spicy chicken wings. Cheers to Pomeroys for keeping our awesome Kiwi beer culture alive down south!

This old English-style pub has it all: excellent food, locally brewed beer, al fresco dining and a pool table. There’s even a library tucked away in the corner for quiet moments.

Pom’s is a Christchurch icon. One of the few central city pub / bar survivors, this place is always full. That’s because of the atmosphere, beer and … pub food! Except classic English dishes including cheese dip!

Enjoy your boutique beer alongside some fantastic atypical pub fare. This place is a home away from home for the expats from England.
