I was lucky enough to stay in one of the penthouse suites at the Pullman, the view over Old Government house was glorious, it was a real treat to see it from that vantage. The bedroom, bathroom and amenities in the room were pure luxury, if only I could sleep in a bed that huge and comfortable every night! The pool and gym facilities were top class with very helpful staff. And I could have spent all afternoon dipping between the hot tub and semi heated pool. Absolute bliss.
I've been to two dinners at the Pullman recently, both for special events. The smaller scale (a bit over 100 people) was a dinner held on the top floor restaurant, with breathtaking views over the city and a lovely intimate feel. The second one showed their versatility, as they managed to cater a 3 course dinner for more than 500 people.

I would recommend the Pullman Hotel to anyone staying in Auckland. The location is fantastic and every room has a superb view over Auckland city or harbour. the food is great and the lobby is super stylish and a great place to meet for a drink. I attended a conference at the hotel and the rooms were amazing. Great staff and overall left with a fantastic impression.
