    Les Crepes de Catherine
    Mt Eden
You haven't lived until you've had a truly authentic French crepe from Catherine! Her crepes are made with love and full of fresh, gourmet fillings including chocolate and salted caramel that she whips herself. Do yourself a favour and get some of Catherine's sweet and savoury crepes at your next event, you and your tastebuds will #feelgood

    Milse
    Auckland Central
A slice of heaven for dessert lovers, the only difficult thing about coming to Milse is trying to choose which delicious sweet treat you're going to indulge in. Personally I'm all over the salted caramel craze and can heartily recommend the salted caramel macarons, bon bons and mallow puffs. You can't come to Milse and not #feelgood

If you love sweet treats and beautiful things, you'll love Petal Cupcakes, they lovely to look at and even lovelier to eat! They have some fantastic standard flavours and are constantly coming up with exciting new limited edition flavours too - jelly tip, chilli chocolate and my personal favourite - salted caramel. Make yourself or someone special #feelgood with Petal Cupcakes.

    Bulk Food Savings
    Mt Eden
So many reasons to make a trip to Bulk Food Savings - they have a great selection of exotic and unusual foods, plus when you buy in bulk you're saving money and helping the environment. Plus you can do re-fills on some items so Captain Planet would definitely give this place the seal of approval.

Walking around these gardens always gets me in a really zen headspace. Really relaxing and beautiful, especially in spring when all the flowers are out. Take only photos and leave only foot prints!

    Recycle Boutique Auckland City
    Auckland Central
I love bringing my old threads here and getting some cash for them, so many of my clothes have ended up here instead of heading into the trash heap. Well done Recycle Boutique, saving the planet one garment at a time.

The winter gardens have an ever-changing display of seasonal flowers. As a gardener it constantly inspires me.

    Hum
    Grafton
Hum is not your average cafe, the people who run the cafe are also restoring the amazing Victorian house which the cafe is run out of. They also hold fund-raising parties with live music and all kinds of entertainment. It's definitely a lively hub of activity for Grafton-ites.
  3. 3
    1
    Grafton Community Market
    Grafton
A small market, but has some great stalls and yummy Takoyaki. It's in the wonderful gothic building that used to be the Whitecliffe College, getting to snoop around these grounds was a great bonus to visiting these markets.

    Cafe Karadeniz
    Grafton
I come back here again and again for their mousaka, stuffed mushrooms and chicken salad. I've brought lots of friends here because it's a lovely dinner location which still has a casual feel.

    Paper Bag Princess
    Newton
I'm mad for second-hand shopping and Paper Bag Princess always has lots of hidden gems, lots of stock and a high turn-over so you know that there will be all new delights next time you visit. Everything in store is less than $20 so you can't go wrong really. Plus if you have a b-card there is a 10% discount on their already low prices.

    Jason Books
    Auckland Central
Not your average second hand book shop, the emphasis here is on quality, you won't find Mills & Boon on these shelves! Beautiful hard wood floors make you feel like you're exploring a beautiful old library. Come here to find those rare, special and collectable books.

    SaveMart Onehunga
    Onehunga
Warning! You can literally waste hours here! I know because I've done it. This is basically a warehouse full of used clothing, most of it is between $5-$15, and generally in really good condition. Bargain-hunter paradise.

    Antique Alley

Sifting through the bric a brac in this delightful store, really satisfies my hunter gather instincts. So many great finds!
