Riverstone Kitchen

This place is SO good. Always packed with people, that great thing about Riverstone is that you’ll always find a seat whether it’s inside or out. The chef’s tasting menu is a highlight and so are the peacocks outside!

The very best food in Otago for sure for a luxurious lunch. Also a great place to stop with kids!

Riverstone is a favourite stop whenever I’m heading south to Dunedin from Christchurch. The changing menu is fresh and local, and you can even grab a healthy salad and black coffee to go.

Riverstone Kitchen is becoming quite legendary. To be found outside of Oamaru, RK is famous for their locally grown produce (so local it’s grown in their backyard), tasty food, and of course, their great coffee. This is the place to take the family, kick up your feet and relax.

Take a day trip to Riverstone Kitchen this Easter. Enjoy the vast outdoor setting (which features peacocks, chickens and an impressive veggie garden) whilst feasting on some amazing meals all made using locally sourced and grown produce.

There are many great things to say about Riverstone Kitchen and their all day menu is just one of them. Their Marlborough figs with Windsor blue cheese, roast hazelnuts and vincotto is a most excellent way to start the day.

An award winning café and restaurant. That says it all I think! The menu changes often, and much of the produce comes from the restaurants very own home grown vege and herb garden out the back. The restaurant is coupled with the most amazing stores, similar to a homeware store but x100. Incredible food, and a great atmosphere top off this spacious and light restaurant.

Only local and seasonal produce is used here to create the most delicious and fresh meals. The menu is simple and small and once you’ve finished your meal, take a stroll amongst the veggie garden, peacocks and chickens.
