If you’re on a road trip in Te Anau, make sure you stop off at Sandfly Cafe. This place is the best place for amazing espresso. It’s a laidback cafe with plenty going on to keep you entertained.

This cosy cafe is great for grabbing a steaming hot cafe and heading back into the car and then home. Other winter warmers include hot toasted sandwiches and delicious pies.

Sandfly make some of the best brunches in Te Anau, and here’s why. Every day their muffins change - expect banana and chocolate chip, blueberry and lemon, tomato spinach and cheese, blackberry and choc chip or bacon and blue cheese. The list goes on. For their brunches you can choose from their menu or their ever changing specials like toasted bagel with bacon, tomato, cream cheese and pesto or gluten free pumpkin, pinenut and feta fritters.

Just right of what I need, everytime I order. Love the view from the front yard too.
