A Ponsonby institution for over twenty years, SPQR is one of the finest places to begin - or end - a night out. Cocktails like ‘The Slapper’ come highly recommended!

SPQR has the VERY best Espresso Martinis in town. I asked the waiter how many he has made tonight and he said he lost count at about 100

This mini platter was the perfect accompaniment  with my close of rosé.  SPQR has been an establishment for 20 years in Ponsonby, Its going to remain that for many many more years to come.

I had my first Bluff oyster and I was pleasantly surprised , much nicer than normal oysters and I really liked them with the vinegar. Great presentation too

Really enjoyed this platter , lots of variety and the perfect amount, we shared this amongst three of us and there were left overs

Where the rich and famous dine, SPQR brings the glamour to Ponsonby.

Best people watching spot in Ponsonby

Always the best- I go here at least once a week, highly recommend their Duck Rigatoni, mushroom pizza, and the Espresso martinis are next level!! We looooove the staff there also

I'd been hearing about SPQR's amazing paella for ages, and finally got to try it. Totally lived up to the talk, and massive portions too! Delish.

SPQR was made for social dining. The buzzing – and sometimes rowdy – atmosphere is always conducive to a great time and the food is consistently good, but it’s the service that makes this Auckland institution well worth a visit.
