After a gorgeous day at the nearby Lost Spring, my husband and I turned up here on a Friday night in December without a reservation (bookings are recommended!). It's a very busy place, mostly filled with locals, but they booked us in for a bit later on. We both ordered the seafood chowder and skinny fries and were rewarded with a rich, creamy, delicious chowder packed with real fresh fish. The local Coromandel chardonnay was also really good. I recommend this casual restaurant to round off any day in Whitianga.
