Whether you're a local or just passing through Hokitika you have to try the omelette at Stella Cafe. They're absolutely lovely and soft with lots of cheese, vegetables and fresh herbs.

They also have a good selection of cabinet food, as well as other delicious items on their breakfast and lunch menu - and great coffee.

great food great staff great coffee

    This simple and classic cafe makes some delicious vegetarian dishes including nachos, cheese toasties and burritos. I love this place because they have vegan versions too!

      For the best chocolate cake in Hokitka may I recommend to you, Stella Cafe. The chocolate cake here has lashings of chocolate ice cream with a side of perfectly sweet cream. The only issue with the cake is the piece is never as big as you want it - can we just have the whole cake?!!!

        Love Stella’s! Quite possibly the most popular (and well-known) cafe in Hokitka, Stella does stella coffee. And they’re now offering a dinner service so you can get your coffee late in to the night!

          For a superb brunch set a little off the beaten track of Hokitika, Stella Cafe has an excellent cabinet and full brunch menu to take your pick from. There’s loads of outdoor dining and they’re open during public holidays, hooray!

            For something cheap and delicious, Stella Cafe has a great selection of pastries and sweets. For something a little more hearty and easy on the pocket, go for their famous omelettes!

              I go to Stella Cafe every time I’m in Hokitika. Love the outdoor dining, cheese room with local and international cheeses and it’s very own indoor beehive
