Stone Oven Bakery is a family owned and operated business in the heart of Hokitika. Since 1982 Dicey Davidson has worked within the bakery selling delicious sandwiches, coffees and desserts to locals who have officially gained loyal clientèle status.

Great food, friendly.

    My favourite bakery in Hokitika, Stone Oven is the best at baking bread, pastries and donuts. If you’re after a quick bite to eat then grab a tasty sandwich or pie. They’re delicious!

      Want a refreshing take on an Anzac biscuit? The owner of Stone Oven Bakery in Hokitika is doing a very special Anzac Day bun to commemorate 100 years and tie in with the town's special memorial white crosses that mark the Coasters who fought and died in the war. Dicey's creations are stuff of local legends so I know his spiced bun won't disappoint.

        Bread and chocolate are the perfect combo. For the best bread and chocolate this side of Arthur’s Pass, head to Stone Oven Bakery. The pain au chocolat and chocolate croissants are so good you’ll want to stuff you face with them every single day. You’ll never get sick of them if you do.
