Sweet Life is a sweet tooth lovers dream. Heidi Griffin, a British expat opened the candy store in Fitzroy and in doing so has brought the taste of international sweets to New Plymouth.

The store has already proved popular with locals, as well as tourists and expats looking for a taste of home, and she often gets a long list of special requests from customers who want that little bit extra.

I feel like this store is the equivilent of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Chocolates and candies line the walls and windows in jars, buckets, and what ever else you could think of to put sweets in. They have some great stocking fillers for Christmas; and the demand is so high for this place that they're opening a new store in Stratford soon!

I felt like a kid in a candy store when I popped into Sweet Life. Which is ironic considering it is a candy store, but you know what I mean. Having a sweet slice of home in the shape of hard candies like bon bons is my dream. Fair to say I nearly bought the whole jar off the shelf! Love all the decorations and colours inside too.
