THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE. The food is INSANELY good! I had the best burrito I've ever had in New Zealand when I was there a few weeks ago - it was off the chain. They have a sweet array of hot sauces too - nailed it. The staff and the place are cool too!!

There's a reason it's always full.

AMAZING food; I especially like the breakfast menu. Always a good atmosphere but be prepared to wait for a table! (It's well worth it I promise)

If the world is hurting your face on Sunday morning, I've found a cure for the embarrassments of the night you wished you didn't remember - waffles, fried chicken and maple syrup. I forgot the world had so many good things in it, although you may have to fight for a seat to sample them. Unashamedly delicious.

Looking a bit like a mardi gras vomited up all over the place (thats a good thing). Never can go past the pork burrito but the gumbo and jambalaya are also worth trying. The breakfast burrito and their famous peanut butter milkshake is particularly good for a hangover!

Always friendly, always up for a chat while they make your coffee.

Sweet Mother’s Kitchen makes southern American food that’s good for the soul. The Wellington staple has a warm and inviting vibe and the quirky staff are clued up and friendly. I ate a pulled pork poe boy, shared a swamp dip (spinach and cheese dip) and got a serving of curly fries for the table. TASTY feel good food. Be prepared to wait for a table as it is usually packed.

Went here last night with a mate. Great little spot and it was packed on a Thursday night. Cool interior although we had to sit outside. Great food, I got the gumbo which is great for a cold night. The lady serving us was unhappy but other staff were cool. Will definitely go back, just hope we get a better waitress.

This eclectic and hysterical place serves up food from New Orleans, with Cajun and Creole dishes and also does Mexican snack food. There are no bookings and this place is always bustling, so expect to wait a bit for a table. Go here for the po boys, fish tacos, peanut butter milkshakes (that’s right), curly fries and the fried chicken waffles. Big, fun food for a hungry tummy.

We went to SMK at about 10pm on Thursday for some dessert. It was quite busy but the awesome unique part about these guys is that they don’t take bookings! So if like us, they don’t have room for your group, they just call you when they do - which is never longer than a beer or two! The whole menu is so Americana themed and this apple pie was divine (only $10 too) so a bit of a bargain at the same time! Love it.
