This place is crazy cool. It's like travelling back in time! The vegetarian burger is the best, and lying in the hot water with a cool beverage from the bar is impossible to beat!! A+++++ from me! 

I've been a massive fan of this place ever since it opened. There are SO many different flavors of tea to try (and they're all in jars!), it makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop. All the staff know what they're talking about - you can walk in there and receive an education in tea. And the atmosphere is great - it shares it's space with an art gallery, a tattoo parlor, and a radio station! 

I can't believe I've been living in Auckland my whole life without having visited the Stardome Observatory before! This was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. It made me feel like a little kid again, staring up at the stars and learning all about them in wonderment. WOW! Do it next Sunday, it's so worth it!

We love going to Pt Chev beach to watch the sun set. The beach is facing in just the right direction to have a beautiful view of the sun as it sinks into the horizon. You can take a picnic with you, or your dog(s) for a walk. Or just chill out on the sand and watch the colors in the sky change - it's magical! And so close to central Auckland! 

Atomic does the best flat white in Auckland, the staff are always super friendly, and the food is always SUPER TASTY!! They recently started a proper cooked menu and the vegetarian baked eggs are so freaking good. 

This place genuinely makes some of the most delicious breakfast in Auckland. The coconut porridge is literally INCREDIBLE. So is everything else. And the coffee is good too. This is a damn fine Sunday breakfast option - do it!!!

I love Shaky Isles. It's easily one of the best cafes in Auckland - if not the whole country. The food is consistently delicious and flavorful and exciting! The coffee is always great. The staff are super friendly and fun. And the space is a great place to either chill and hang with your friends or take your laptop and do some work for an hour - plus they have FREE wifi! 

Foxtrot is one of the best places to go for breakfast in Auckland right now. The food is GREAT - the flavor combos and the original ideas make for a breakfast well worth paying for - you probably could not make this stuff for yourself at home. The coffee here is always great! The baristas, Ines and Josh are both very good at pouring a shot!! And the prices are pretty good too - much cheaper than you'd expect for an up-market Ponsnobby cafe :P

Food For Life has been a staple in my life since before I can remember. It's the ever-faithful $5 student meal that gets me! Rice + Chickpea Curry + x3 Pakora + Soup + Dessert... all for $5 (student price, $7 if you're a full time worker!) = It's a steal. So delicious and so healthy and so filling!!! Dream dinner location. You can also grab some take away for those late nights in the office downtown when you're looking for a cheap tasty bite to keep you going!!! 

This place is one of Auckland's best kept secrets. Don't be put off by the bright fluorescent lights and minimal decor, the food here will blow your mind. It's all vegetarian, and  it's all delicious! Make sure you try the paneer dosa, and the paneer curry - both are AMAZING!! Finish the night off with some Gulab's from the dessert section...mmmmmm.

Delicious Dumpling. Exciting Eggplant. All the delicious nibbles! All the eggplant dishes are wonderful! And the spicy dumplings are a must-do! 

Sidewalk Cafe make the best avocado and haloumi breakfast..and they have all the delicious hot sauces to pour all over the avocado too! This is without a doubt my favorite place to walk to when I'm feeling a little hung over for some sweet eats and a casual relaxed atmosphere! 

This place is incredible, the food is so so so damn good! The hot and spicy hapuka, the black chilli chicken, the salt and peper squid, and the garlic vegetables are my favorites - but everything I've ever tried here is amazingly delicious!  You should book if you're with a large group - this place is ALWAYS busy! And make sure you buy a bottle of wine or some beers to take with you if you drink - it's BYO only! 

Late Night Diner on Ponsonby Road is a rad addition to the Ponsonby scene. Incredible burgers and milkshakes make you feel like you're hanging in a burger bar on Hollywood Blvd, the only thing missing is the American accents - but you'll move past that when you try the deep fried oreo doughnuts - which are INCREDIBLE!

Sake Bar 601 is the best place in Auckland to find Sushi, Sashimi, and all the other delicious Japanese treats you can imagine. The tempura vegetables are amazing! And you can watch the chef make all the food fresh right in front of you! YUM!

Pyrenees is my favourite place for getting freshly baked bread and delicious deli cheeses from. Their bread is always soft and fresh, and it has the best flavor!!! You can also get freshly baked croissants and sweet French treats. And the coffee is really good too!! YUM! 

This space has always been super boring...until Portland Public House moved in - now it's the coolest bar in Kingsland! I LOVE the outdoor area at the back! The staff are awesome, the food is delicious (especially the smoked fish!), and the live music scene is rad! Whoever started this place up must be super cool.  PS. the female bartender with the purple hair is lovely - she's my favorite! :)

This is the place to be if you love beer! …and paying $20 for a rack of ribs, fries, and a beer!! YUM!

One of the few real micro-breweries in Auckland - you can smell the delicious hops as soon as you walk in the door. The fish cakes are amazing!! 

Craft beer brewed on site. A wide variety of craft beers on tap. Gourmet pizza. All in a 1960's grungy warehouse. Nailed it, Brothers Brewery.

I can't get over how great this place is - it's got three really different and wonderful areas - outside at the front, the middle main chamber where the bar is, and a delightful back room perfect for a private party or function. The staff are very professional, and the beverage selection is great! The place has a wonderful atmosphere complemented by great decor - I absolutely love all the wood! Definitely a top choice if you're looking for a watering hole in Grey Lynn! 

Cosset Cafe is delightful! Every time I go in there they have a new exhibition up on the walls from a local artist. They coffee is consistently great. And the food is all vegetarian and vegan! What more could a girl ask for? :D
