 This beach is flat and very friendly for all members of the family,,, even the dog! There are great, cafes and places to wine and dine in walking distance. I love walking along the beach and seeing the amazing view of rangitoto. The beach is also spotless- not one bit of rubbish to be seen!

    Relaxing gorgeous place to be

      Great spot on the beach with indoor and outdoor seating.  Food is great as are the cakes!! Little on the pricey side but partly paying for the location too which is second to none!

        Takapuna has everything, the beach is so close to so many cool shops, cafes and restaurants and its a lovely beach to go to in summer.  Its a great family beach and very safe for children.  You get great views of Rangitoto and the grassy area on the bank is nice to have a picnic on.  The parking is the only thing that lets this place down as it can get very crowded and you have to pay in some areas but thats my only complaint :)

          Takapuna Beach is one of north shore's finest.  Perfect for a swim, stroll, jog or kite surf on a windy day this beach is always popular and it's easy to see why.  The view of Rangitoto is spectacular and there are plenty of cafe's and bars within walking distance.

            Sun, sand and great cafes just a stroll away. I had a great walk along the beach after I got a coffee from a local cafe.
