Tay Street Beach Cafe

Beautiful to sit here in the morning and have breakfast, great food, very busy so get in quick.

There’s always a healthy vegetarian option amongst their Asian-fusion based cuisine. For a boost of vitality you can’t go past the colourful Tay Street Energy Salad - rooted in a beetroot, carrot, chard, sunflower mix.

A great place for brunch after a brisk walk on the beach. It has the casual beach flavour with amazing food and coffee and really good creamy mushrooms and eggs benedict – dogs are welcome outside too. It’s just had a lick and a paint so is now bigger, brighter and warmer outside. And it’s open for lunch and dinner most nights.

I know I always mention Tay Street Beach Cafe, but it’s just so damn good! If you’re a soup-lover and a seafood-lover then you HAVE to try their seafood chowder, complete with a toasted piece of buttery ciabatta bread. Yum.

This is one of my favourite spots in The Mount… like the name says, yes, it is right on the beach. They have a spectacular menu (one for day and one for night). They srve up magic such as the poached prawn salad, mushroom and sage pasta, and my fav the "energy sald" packed with all the goodies you's imagine. Mouth-watering yet? Then get down there stat for delicious food and some sunshine if you're lucky!

I don’t think it would matter too much what they sold me here - I love the location that much. Tay St - which used to be marked only by a dairy and a good surf spot - is now also home to this great cafe. I love sitting outside, smelling the ocean air. The relaxed environment makes it a great place for a good gossip session with friends.

Little bistro number this one. Quality food and fit out. On-to-it staff. Probably the best on the Beach.

The best brunch/ large lunch spot in town. Everything on their menu has been personally tried and approved…and parking is never an issue (bonus!).
