For beach-goers the Tay Street Dairy is the place to pop across the road from your sunbathing spot to pick up the necessities like real-fruit ice cream, creamy shakes, cool drinks, coffee, and lollies. Feeling a little more than peckish? Check out the pies and sammies. They’ve also got all of those things that you forgot to bring for your day out at the beach like sunblock, magazines and retro mini skateboards.

They’ve been selling icecreams at Tay Street as long as I can remember and nothing beats a double scoop after a long day swimming and sunbathing at the beach. These guys are obliged to roll a decent ice cream at such an iconic Bay location and they don’t disppoint. They also have the all important Goody Goody Gum Drops on the menu too.
Just a little bit cheeky but in a time of need, I head down to Tay St Dairy where the owner Pete is happy to slip you a bag of his KPH coffee beans. Making a killer cup of coffee himself and open nearly every day of the year, it is always an enjoyable beachfront visit sure to leave you in fits of laughter.
