Part bar-café, part restaurant, part antique emporium, a visit to The Apothecary is a totally unique experience. A bustling environment mixes industrial chic concrete floors and factory lamps, with an authentic 1950’s continental apothecary that looks like it has just stepped out of a Tin Tin novel.

Food is a passion, with the emphasis on great tasting fresh local produce with a mixture of European/Asian and Kiwi influences. We also feature a fully stocked continental-style bar with Peroni and Craft Beers on tap plus a wide selection of quality spirits and local and international wines.

One of my favourite places to stop by for a delicious cappuccino! The perfect place for a leisurely brunch - hang out on the cosy leather couches amongst the cool trinkets. Love the vintage feel of the decor here!

Great cafe with a lot going on inside. A whole bunch of antiques to check out. Service could be better thought. Coffee is good too!

Had brunch here for the first time with a friend over the weekend and cannot believe I haven’t noticed this cafe everytime I go to Howick! Very tempting menu overall, good coffee, friendly staff and surprisingly fast food service even though it was full of people! Will be back again

I love this place. THe staff are friendly the coffee is good! And the atmosphere is so interesting. Love the red leather couches and antique mixed with modern concrete/ industustrial look. Great space!

Absolutely love the concept, but more than that...that chef should get a medal.  The chicken and avo pide a favourite of mine as is the yummy salads.
