This is the second time this café has made it onto one of my lists - I just couldn’t have a best cafés list and not mention my favourite one. Amazing, freshly made pies and salads, delicious pastries and expertly crafted cakes plus a warm and homey environment.

    This warm and inviting bakery truly does give off a "grandma’s cottage" vibe - and the baked goods won’t disappoint. With an impressive display of cakes, cookies, slices, muffins and other sweet delights, you’ll struggle to choose just one thing (so why not try them all! I know I have). My personal favourites are the chocolate croissant cake and the lemon fudge slice. The cottage makes awesome cakes for special occasions too, as well as homemade salads, pies and breads.

      So cheap. So good. Oh my god. So good. Their cabinets are always well stocked with delicious noms. The chargrilled vege bap is one of my personal faves.

        Fresh good food

          I’m a big fan of the Bakers Cottage, and they have AMAZING pies. The rosemary, lamb, and mint is my favourite but there’s lots to choose from.

            The Bakers Cottage has pretty amazing sweets, but I’m always impressed by their selection of lunch foods – the sandwiches are huge and fancy as, and only ~$5, and they also have a fabulous selection of seasonal lunch dishes. In winter they have soups and warm pasta dishes, but summer is best because they have heaps of the most amazing salads. Like, ever. One of my favourite places to grab a table outside and enjoy lunch with a friend.

              The food, like the staff, are to die for. I had never been to this bakery prior to today and oh my was I blown away! The steak and cheese pie I had was the bomb diggity, and combined with one of the various delicious beverages on display allowed for an amazing feed. I am over the moon pleased with every aspect of this place. I will be back. Mark my words Bede and staff, I will return.

                    Bakers cottage is awesome! Their pies are amazing (best pies in Kingsland for sure -- and yes, I've been to Fridge :b) and their sandwiches and salads/pastas are always yum. I've found that at a lot of bakeries the food LOOKS good but is actually bland or same-y, but all of the savoury stuff at Bakers Cottage is rad. Their sweets are pretty good as well -- not on the same level as their savoury stuff, but I'm addicted to the lemon tarts.

                      It's their salads that get me every time!! SO GOOD!!! I'm definitely a Fridge girl when it comes to pies though ;)
