Cakes, slices, all day breakfast, gourmet sandwiches, excellent coffee and so much more
We came here today for lunch and ended up.just getting a coffee. The reason for this us the cabinet was quite empy and all the menu food was quite expensive for what it was. I wanted a nice sald and the cheapest one i cod find was $18. The bathrooms werent exactly cpean and that is gross. There is free wifi which i think is cool. They need to fill theit cabinet with more options and then maybe ill be back.
The coffee club I generally find they are really good but after trying this one in takapuna my expectations have gone down a little. The place is in a great location and is a nice stroll from the carpark and to the beach. The cafe itself has a big dining area and friendly staff but when ever we eat there the food just seems to be average, nothing great but not terrible. A good sized cafe to take kids to but the food is definitely better at Sylvia Park and at the Glenfield location.
Its hard for me to rate this Coffee Club as I have been here numerous times and have had a different experience each time. Yesturday I noticed a sign in the window that said "under new management". The service started off great, greeted with a smile, good table service but after our coffee and muffins were delivered we were never checked on again - and we wanted water and another round of coffees. The savoury muffins were a bit bland - they need some sundried tomatoes or something else to give them a bit of zing, however they were nice and moist. The last time i was here I had a great muffin and great coffee but this time the coffee was just ok. Another note - Im a bit of a bathroom clean freak, and I was a bit disgusted at the state of their toilets and it was only 11:30 in the morning. I would suggest they need to be checking their toilets throughout the day- they looked like they hadnt been cleaned in days.
