Absolutely amazing fish and chips. A must try

Its a bit of a tradition to get fish and chips at Mission Bay for us. Its  a great location and great fish and chips. So good to get them then have then on the beach. Can't beat it on a nice summer day. Service is always friendly and quick even when its packed.

Cool - the Fish Pot Cafe seemed to be he only fish and chip place opposite the beach on Mission Bay in the group of shops there !  What a huge advantage !!  However, it's always busy there and you have to queue which is a bummer ! It's  was  nice to grab some fish and chips and then go and sit on the beach with the family and chow down for dinner while watching the world go by !!  Nice knowing I didn't have to cook that night too. A little on the pricier side than most fish and chip places but I guess that reflects the location/lease etc too !

The Fish Pot Cafe is great, on a hot sunny day there  is nothing better than ordering some fresh fish and chips and sitting on the grass being out in the sun. BRING ON SUMMER AT MISSION BAY!!!

Mission bay is a great icon beach in auckland and is very popular, so in summer it can be hard to get a park. This is a great place to spend the day and take a picnic or an even better option is to pick up lunch or an early dinner for the family of fish and chips to eat on the beach. The food is cooked well and is hot and really fresh and flavoursome. Staff serve quickly and it is not a long wait before you food is piping hot and ready, and by the time you get back to your picnic spot your food is still nice and hot and ready to eat. Give it a go this summer, you wont be disappointed.

Fish Pot Cafe always has excellent standards of food! It's so nice to grab some fish and chips and then go and sit on the beach. Every time we go to Fish Pot Cafe it's super busy which obviously shows how good they are! 

My partner drove me down to mission bay from the North Shore on our first date for fish and chips on the beach as he said this was the best place he'd been.  I wasn't disappointed.  It is now a regular trip to mission bay, just for the fish n chips, yum.

I recently organized a children's party and needed to place a large order at short notice due to a last minute change in the weather / venue etc. The staff at the Fish Pot Cafe were just superb - they helped me work out the quantity of food I needed. They prepeared my order straight away and even packaged it up thoughfully into separate boxes which made the unpacking much easier when I arrived home to the screaming kid's party ! Thank you guys and gals at the Fishpot Cafe. You made a special day even more special for us all. I thoroughly recommend the Tarakihi too !

Can definitly see why they are award winning!! Really nice casual cafe with beautiful food. The idylic setting of mission bay is just perfect for enjoying fish n chips this good!

The Fish Pot sets the standard.  We love bringing overseas visitors here to eat tarakihi from newspaper sitting on the grass in the reserve, looking out to sea.  How Kiwi is that? :)  The fish here is beautiful and the chips are lovely too.  Kumara chips people!  I LOVE watching people's faces when they taste their first kumara chip.  They're always a little dubious, then their face just lights up :) We've also had a sit down meal here and again, it couldn't be faulted.  Get in early though, it fills up fast.
