The Hui Hut is a recently-opened bar and eatery that provides home-made, fresh and tasty eats to the locals of Mangakino.

Just a little bit out of Taupo town in Mangakino is the awesome Hui Hut. These guys make a top venison pie - it's a must taste for anyone vising Mangakino. It's always packed full of locals and is the perfect spot to eperience some good New Zealand pub food, washed down with some top beer or cider.

    A friend of mine told me next time I was in the area I had to try a Venison pie from the newly opened Hui Hut in Mangakino so I strayed from State Highway 1 to do just that. The pie was amazing, so was the place. Family owned business, great people and friendly locals, well worth the detour.
