What an evening....sitting on the beautiful deck staring out from the marina at the sea to the city! We tried the calamari entree and it was devine, lightly cooked, so delicate in texture with the 'lightest' touch of batter. No oil. It really is an art. It also is an art to cook eye fillet perfectly, and the chef at the marina does this well; each and every time. Absolutely beautiful
We had dinner here with a few friends and had a great time. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent and the food was amazing. My SO had the fish and chips and declared it absolutely amazing and the chips perfectly crispy. My pork was fine except the braised red cabbage being a bit bland. The others all enjoyed what they ate and between us the entire dessert menu was sampled. the creme brulee received great reviews but the doughnuts were pronounced some what doughy, heavy and the chocolate sauce (as part of the Temptation platter for two) tasted as if it was the basic chocolate ice cream sauce you can buy in the supermarket. Overall it was an excellent night out for everyone with great food at great pricing and we loved the service.
The Marina Brekkie brunch platter (eggs, mushrooms, spinach, BEAUTIFUL potato rosti, bacon, sausage, and focaccia) was absolutely delicious. The special of the day when we were there was a smoked fish hash, which was also very tasty. Sitting on the deck watching the marina was quite lovely. It's all at city prices but worth it, especially as there aren't many other options this far out of town.
