I love this place for its location (its situate on an old airfield!) and the wartime aviation memorabilia that is dotted around the space. The meals are big and delicious, the coffee is roasted to perfection and the staff are simply lovely!

    There are several attractive features about this restaurant including the vintage aeroplanes that fly right on the doorstep, the personalised interior with three dimensional wallpaper, the exclusivity of your dining experience and of course the exceptional cuisine. The Moth is usually open only for reservations, however during the summer months it makes a great location for those last-minute dinner reservations. A particular favourite among the locals are their tender scallops, perfectly opaque in the centre and caramelised on the outside.

      Love The Moth! Not only is the name of little restaurant fantastic but they cater to all you culinary needs including café breaks, lunches and dinners. And The Moth is more than your average cafe. It sits adjacent to the vintage aircraft museum of The Croydon Aviation Heritage Trust, so you can be entertained whilst being fed at the same time.

        Delicious delicacies, stunning establishment all intertwined with rich history of local aviation. A visit to the Moth is an experience like none other. Order yourself some succulent scallops and a glass of vino whilst you sit outside and watch the Tiger Moth in action as it swoops and soars right at the doorstep of this fabulous establishment!
