Located in the heart of Orewa, The Pioneer is your classic local bar and restaurant with a slightly gourmet twist and an inventive drinks menu. The walls are adorned with canvases and posters celebrating the regions storied history giving the space a unique and authentic character.

Service is friendly and relaxed, and the menu ranges from classic fish and chips to a delicious beef bourguignon. Moral of the story is, it's hard to beat the pioneer for a good night out in Orewa!

Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Really enjoy ‘The Engineers’ on a Friday night too!

    Have always had great food in this place. Love the huge beers you get as well, good prices
