Whatever your mode of transport is – motoring, walking, horse or bike –– get a load of friends together and hike it on out to the Puketapu Pub. It’s a leisurely 10 minute’s drive from Taradale centre, or a bit longer by other means on the picturesque trail adjacent to the Tutaekuri River. The garden bar is a perfect stop for a refreshment and the dining room does awesome lunches. And take some time to reminisce about the origins of this historic stagecoach hotel.

      It’s a country affair, and a short drive from Taradale, Napier, or just off the Hawke’s Bay Cycle Trail Water Ride. The pub is a classic watering hole – traditional, charming and award-winning. Amazing food at great prices. It’s guaranteed you will return.
