Love their breakfast. Wonderful hot chocolate. Divone cakes especially the caramel oat slixe. Sny time of the day its worth a trup

Cafe culture at its best. Scrumptious salads, mouth watering menu items to temp the most refined pallet and the best place to be on a sunny Saturday morning after a long week of work.

Beautiful food in a beautiful setting, I love the way The River Kitchen present their extensive menu. There is truly something for everyone here; staff are more than willing to help with special dietary requirements, and their ingredients are top quality - free range pork, chicken, and eggs, locally sourced produce, herbs, and meat, and organic milk and wholegrains.

The best eggs benedict in town

Grumpy by the horrible motel sachet coffee, we hooned down the main drag of Victoria St in the tron, hunting for a decent coffee and scrumptious food. At the River Kitchen, we got more than that: superb service with a smile. Ordering our coffees, we sat and read the Sunday papers. Once we'd finished viewing the salacious silliness that abounds in those papers, we counted the staff. Six dedicated workers, running the kitchen and front of house like a dream. The cabinet was filled with goodies that would be helpful if we had stomachs of a cow. In less that 15 minutes, both brunches arrived of scrambled eggs on toast and the Big River breakfast, which we highly recommend. The fennel potato cake was an unusual addition but one that was readily gobbled.  Walking out into the mooloo sunshine, we left elated and stuffed. Visit the River Kitchen if you are ever in the area.  You won't be disappointed.
