I met these guys when they had the coffee trailer outside glen eden intermediate and it is still going so well outside Kaurilands school- Mt Atkinson rules! Great coffee and friendly staff. The tannery is a great space it’s industrial and raw it has the funky c van to keep the minis at bay while you enjoy a tasty bagel or cronut! Amazing place…#refinedwestie
Take a peak at The Tannery’s insignia and you’ll see a loaded ice cream scoop and a portafilter filled with coffee. What puzzles me is HOW the designer specifically chose these two delicious representatives of The Tannery to be on the insignia - because everything here is amazing. I don’t believe I would have been able to choose - I might have gone with the caramel slice that has the thickest wedge of caramel I ever did see; or their cronut, so round and soft and sugary; or one of their many superbly designed bagels from Best Ugly; or one of their brioches; ...or their home made short bread? My insignia design would have looked more like an lunch platter. But I agree, Jacobs Parsons on-site roasted coffee (under the name Mt. Atkinson) is a more than worthy representative of the cafe for the insignia, as is their in-house made Kohu Road ice cream (do try the salted caramel!)
