Tui Glen Reserve is a favourite park of Henderson locals and is named for the great number of tuis that fed on the Kowhai nectar of the stream bank's original vegetation. Tui Glen has lots of open space, large trees and covers 5.42 hectares in the heart of Henderson. It was the first camping ground registered in the country in 1925 and it has a long history of events on its grounds.

It also has a great children's playground which has equipment suitable for all ages that is fun for the whole family. As well as public toilets nearby. If you're in the mood to walk your dog or go running it has lots of space to do so and is a popular walking spot for locals wanting to enjoy some fresh air and the calls of the tuis.
