I was lucky to be invited to a wedding on Waiheke Island a while ago and decided to make a weekend of it.  Well why wouldn't you? I booked the Waiheke Resort and made the short ferry crossing over.  The taxi took us to the resort and we checked into our apartment. Well spectacular view is an understatement.  The apartments are spacious yet comfy with all the amenities you might want.  The piece d resistance being the large sliding doors onto the balcony with the view.   The price included a continental breakfast which was very nice and served in a room with a piece of 'that' view.  Well worth the trip and I certainly plan to do it again sometime soon.
