This place is really special in my books. How amazing to travel under a cave, look up at a thousand stars (glowworms) and massive stalactites? There's a statlactite there that, if you get really imaginative, and look closely, looks like Bob Marley. My partner and I had a blast on our last trip there and we felt like kids again.

    Waitomo caves and the area in general are great for picturesque walks and caving, for those avid adventurers Waitomo adventures caving trips are out of this world! Packed full of fun for the adrenalin junky.

      Glowworms are amazing - if your kids haven’t yet had the experience of traveling by boat underneath a ceiling of sparkling glowworm lights, then this holidays is the perfect time to take them. Waitomo Glowworm Caves have a range of different tours they offer, and special rates for families. A family pass (two adults, two children) is $115. Keep the kids busy by seeing how many glowworms they can count!
