A fabulous place to stroll, admire the glorious ancient trees and reflect on everything great that nature has provided.

The view from the top, the park, the gardens and nice wander through the flowers and bush.

So much to keep the kids entertained, a walk among the flowers an adventure in nature, spotting a bird or two.

Refreshing view!

Sometimes you just need to get out of the harsh, bleak human domain and get back to the natural world! I could spend days wandering the beautiful paths of the Wellington Botanical gardens, and would highly reccomend visiting to anyone!

Accessible from the middle of Wellington, take the cable car up to Wellingtons Botanical Gardens, a wealth of space and great facilities for all await you. Finely curated gardens with walkways for you to explore and take you away from the hustle & bustle of working life, a great way to spend an afternoon or post work activity.

So you're poor, can’t afford the fancy dinner at some expensive restaurant, what do you do? You get a blanket some food from around town and get on up to the gardens to catch the sunset. Perfect for a meaningful Valentine's Day with the right vibes for everyone, though be prepared with a plan B cause like, weather.

On the cheaper but more thoughtful side of things, a great spot is the botanical gardens. You can pack a picnic with all the artisanal goods available around Wellington and catch the cable car up to the Botanical Gardens. An excellent date idea for those that seek a more meaningful activity compared to going to an establishment. However if you do decide that picnic is a good idea, its always advisable to have a back up plan, as the weather here isn’t always our most reliable and caring friend.

Love the Wellington Botanical Gardens - particularly in summer with the events at the Sound Shell, it's perfect for a low-key picnic and socialising with friends. Such a beautiful place. #myfoodbag

Glow worms….. fabulous in summer or winter, if you know where to look!!!!
