Heaven! I love kids books and the new WHitcoulls is the best i have seen for a kids book store! They have half a floor all filled with kids books, toys and activities! There is so much to amuse the children and there is a coffee shop on the same level. I find it amazing how dedicated they are to children and their layout and displays are beautiful. This is one place we can spend a lot of time. Staff always seem happy too which is a bonus!

Hi Alexandra, thanks so much for your great review. We are very proud of our kids stores in Albany, Sylvia Park & Botany, so it is great to her you are enjoying our Albany store. I would really appreciate if it could contact me on maggie.butler@whitcoulls.co.nz. Thanks, Maggie - Whitcoulls

Recently discovered the toy section upstairs and was then stuck there for 2 hours whilst my toddler explored. Great range of toys puzzles and well set up play areas and activities to keep the kids busy.  Love it.  Have been a few times since, must be the best stocked toy store around here.

I love a good bookshop but this one is also a great toy store!!  I love going upstairs where you can spend an afternoon looking at the wide range of toys on offer and there is something for every child!!  Some of the ranges are really nice quality so it's a great store to shop for gifts. Love it!!!

I love coming here as the staff are intelligent and know exactly the books I am referring to straight away most of the time. They have given me good recommendations and when a book I was interested in wasn't available, I was offered many options so I could get it. One of the greatest things I have found out is that Whitcoulls has a website which has books available that your local store may not. It's how I managed to get a book I've been looking for for a while, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. You don't even need a credit card, as the gift vouchers are fully redeemable for use on the online store! All the books I've seen so far have free shipping as well! The icing on the cake :D

Gloria jeans Coffee upstairs.Great place to relax with a coffee and read a magazine.

Was surprised to find there is a whole floor (go up the stairs) of childrens games, books, card games and more to choose from excellent prices, service was great. Good sale items, good selection of new titles of books.

You know where to go when you need the perfect card for all occassions.Whitcoulls of course !

I know to go here if I need anything to do with stationery

great place to browse for books and i always go to this store for cards for all occassions. they have a great sales of cards and i enjoy stocking up on them. customer service is excellent as the staff are always smiling and are energetic. they always want to help you to find the best possible thing and will also give their suggestions on book choices - eg asking who you're buying for and what they like.

Awful place to shop. Borders did it way better. Now you have coffee amongst ugly packaging boxes upstairs instead of magazines. It's more of a hideous stationery and toy shop than a book store. It's taken months to repack the book shelves, some which are still empty and they've taken away the self service computers . Seriously, these guys don't have clue about customer service and retention! One less reason to visit the mall.
