If you're a cool cat, somewhat hipster, then Zambesi is the place for you! Why wouldn't you want to visit a store with such a cool name? Zambesi works with neutrals, blacks, grays and whites. The brand produces very wearable clothes, as the New Zealand market somewhat forces Kiwi designers to be tame. To make up for the bore their clothes kind of are (dont get me wrong, theyre fabulous clothes!), they carry garments from Rick Owens, Raf Simons and Maison Martin Margiela, to keep you entertained with their extreme and/or whimsical designs. The staff, or the staff member that I dealt with, was great! Super cool and friendly! Somewhat tall guy with long hair, super cool. I purchased a Zambesi over-sized shirt with plastic patches that resembled a soccer ball. One of the few things that were somewhat exciting! Please dont get me wrong, I seemed to have pooped on the brand for being somewhat boring, but they make great, trendy stuff. And looking at what is to come for next fall, it will get exciting as Zambesi has shocked everyone with their use of NEON green/yellow fabrics.

Zambesi’s clothes are uniquely New Zealand. I like their steer towards simplicity and modern aesthetics. They tend to use a lot of blacks and greys in their palette which suits me fine. The vibe here is pretty cool but don’t be intimidated. The shop staff is super easy going and has no attitude whatsoever.

I have always loved Zambesi womens so I drag my man off here from time to time (not being a big shopper its a tall order).  But he likes this store and the clothes.  Thats makes it a lot easier to get him here.  I even can usually convince him to buy the odd piece.  Especially if we have a do to go to. The guys here make my job so much easier. Thanks.
