Cableways Tavern is situated just two minutes over the hill from the Octagon. A friendly English-style bar with heaps of visual cablecar memorabilia around it's walls. Has a great Bistro menu lots of different beers and wine and a themed atmosphere all at affordable prices.

Great little bar with good beers and whiskey. Great ambience. Hard to get a seat sometimes but it’s worth waiting rather than walking up to the octagon and wishing you never left home.
