"We stayed and made it a base to catch up with some friends in Auckland CBD. We stayed on Sunday night and saw the lovely Caitlin Smith singing jazz (happens every Sunday). We had dinner as well. The dining room is a beautiful atrium. A little oasis in the middle of Auckland. As we were staying we were able to use the cosy Art Deco Housebar giving a special treat to our friends as only people staying can use it. I noticed in the afternoon there is a High Tea with champagne (!) Saturday and Sunday from 3 - 5pm. Looks something nice for another winter visit. The rooms are stylish and cool with a modern Art Deco style."

"Beautiful hotel to go for a meal or to stay for a treat. Great place to send your out of town friends or stay yourself to enjoy a first class, international standard hotel in Auckland. It is discreet, private and beautiful The room we had was large and spacious. Tastefully decorated. Glorious bathroom."

"You want glamour, you want fun, you want style, you something special to get you out of your Auckland routine. You want close, so go to Waiheke. But not for a hippie experience. Andrew Glenn and Jonathan Rutherford-Best are international New Zealanders who have come back after the Big Life Overseas and created this fun spot on Waiheke. The rooms are minimalist. Let’s call them bach style. The food is fine. But if you want to have fun, drink some champagne, eat some oysters, have a few laughs with some pals and a fun weekend while being spoilt with great service this is the spot."

"Truth told, I have not stayed but really do want to stay at Peace and Plenty! Had some friends up form Wellington who raved about this place. I did though meet them for afternoon tea which was lovely and had a peek at the room which was gorgeous, and have obviously been put together with a great deal of care. My friends were taken with extra touches like chocolates, a lavender bag on the pillow, gourmet biscuits beside the coffee, and sherry and port above the fireplace."

"I love this hotel and its old world glamour. On arrival the door man is charming. Everybody we met there was polite and lovely to deal with and made you feel special. The bedrooms are quiet and luxurious and once you get used to it, the ‘turn down service’ is rather nice. The buffet in the morning is divine. Make sure you go there hungry as there is so much choice."
