Delicious cake and coffee. I also highly reccomend the baked crepe, you can't pass up two different types of cheese. nom nom.
  2. 2

    Frasers Cafe
    Mount Eden
No matter what time of day I go past this place it is always packed. Despite this the service is great and the food is worth the effort to get a table.
  3. 3
    24
    Torchon French Creperie
    Auckland Central
This was one of the first food places I discovered when I moved to Auckland, and it is still one of my favourites. You can't go wrong with crepes, and the ones from Torchon are divine! They also have an excellent savoury menu and a European style hot chocolate that I just can't say no to.
  4. 4
    70
    Zest Cafe
    Newton
The friendliest staff, good coffee and super tasty treats.

    Provedor
    Auckland Central
After asking to see a the cocktail list, the bar stuff asked how many we wanted and how much we had to spend. They proceeded to have a cocktail making battle, everyone was a winner that night.
  3. 3
    54
    Sale St Brewery Co.
    Freemans Bay
An after works drinks favourite. Also a great place to watch the rugby whilst sitting on bean bags!
  4. 4
    6
    Ding Dong Lounge
    Auckland Central
If you're not one for the usual musical fare found at the bars and clubs in the city and are more favourable to a heavier sound, then Ding Dong will be your new home.
  5. 5
    36
De Post Belgian Beer Cafe Mt Eden
    Mount Eden
Tastings are the best way to work your way through the loooooong list of beers this place has available.

  1. 1
    113
    Auckland War Memorial Museum
    Parnell
You can't go past a visit to the museum if your looking for something to do for a day. There's something for the littlies as well as something for the big kids. Always love looking at the street from the past.
  2. 2
    162
    Auckland Art Gallery
    Auckland Central
I could happily spend most of the day standing outside the Art gallery simply looking at the beautiful architecture, but when I finally do pull myself inside there is a large range and variety sure to keep everyone happy. The 'kids' zone will eat up more than a few minutes of your time, kids or no kids.
  3. 3
    61
    Stardome Observatory & Planetarium
    Royal Oak
Best way to spend an evening! A must during Matariki as well.
  4. 4
    3
    Silo Theatre
    Auckland Central
Free movies, blankets, good food, fun times!
  5. 5
    36
    Cornwall Park
    Epsom
Best place to go for a peaceful walk and have a chat with the sheep.

    The London Lolly Shop
    Auckland Central
It's impossible to go past this place without buying atleast one thing (normally closer to five though). Not only can you get a mouth watering range of British lollies, you can also pick up specialist drinks like Iron Bru.
  3. 3
    19
    The Candyman Mt Eden
    Mount Eden
Om nom nom nom. Basically any candy you can think of that you've seen on American TV shows you can find here. Easily the best candy shop around.

    3
    Delectable Desserts
    Auckland Central
It's hard to choose which one of the amazing sounding deserts to get. In the end we went with the lemon merangue pie and creme brulee. Both were deliscious and very reasonably priced. Took three of us to finish the two.
  5. 5

Delicious cake and coffee. I also highly reccomend the baked crepe, you can't pass up two different types of cheese. nom nom.
