Good quality and good prices. Here, everything is pre-packaged rather than from the chilled cabinet, but the upside of this is everything is weighed and priced for you to select. Prices are generally very, very good!

Not just meat by any means, in fact so much more! But their sausages are some of the best around (pretty much just meat and seasoning - no fillers), and for a treat for someone special, their luxury BBQ hampers are amazing.

Some of the most amazing Thai Fusion you’ll eat. The menu makes it hard to choose. Not the most intimate dining experience around, if that’s what you’re after for Date Night, but the food more than makes up for that.

This will need to be a ‘Date Lunch’ as they are only open from midday until 4pm. Don’t let this deter you though. If the day is nice, request and outside table under the dappled shade of the pergola. Amazing food, incrtedibly attentive service and beautiful wine - try the Sauvignon Semillon.

It’s an amazing replica Pirate Ship built into a mini golf course. Fun for everyone. Look out for the shark!

Seeing the city from the top of the Port Hills is incredible, but the ride up and down is when the smiles are the widest.

We’ve had so many great camping holidays, long weekends or just picnic days out here. Whether building huts in the Pine Forest or body boarding at the beach just 2 mins walk away - it’s Kiwi outdoors fun at its finest.

The kids love it here, simply because it’s so different from anything else, especially in the snow room! It’s fun and educational at the same time. Make sure you go when they have the locals special on (if you’re local) as it can be a bit pricey, but buy the ticket that includes the Haglund Ride and 4D movie though - they’re highlights.

I’m sure we love going here as much as the kids do. It truly is a great family day out. Seeing the Lions so close, hearing the Gibbons call and hand-feeding the Giraffes are all highlights.

Has to be one of the best decks and garden bars in Christchurch for when the suns shining. They’ve just updated their menu too, and it’s awesome.

A real pub, like pubs should be. No compromise on service or quality though. Massive outdoor area, under cover and great atmosphere.

Plentiful craft beers on tap, brewed on site. Good eats. Great outside area perfect for warm summer nights or sunny Sunday Sessions.

A modern classic. Utilising the best of the beautiful, historic Mansfield House, but with all the modern additions (decks, umbrellas, louvres, fires) to make any afternoon or night there great! Top notch food too - from a platter to accompany the beers, or one of the best cooked grain fed steaks you’ll ever have.
