We love this place because it has a bit of everything. There is a wide-ranging, often-changing menu and we regularly stop in for breakfast or lunch. It's where you'll find the locals eating salt and pepper squid. It's so good we struggle not to order that same dish every time!

Where we catch up with mates for an evening drink, this popular watering hole has excellent atmosphere and the fit-out is really funky. There is lots of seating, both indoors and out, which means it's often packed on a Friday night. We love the blue cheese wontons.

This is our secret haunt! It's one of the closest restaurants to our home in Maketu so we get takeaways or eat in often. It's always tasty, fresh and consistently good. A hidden gem worth checking out!

Offering a modern take on sushi, we love to lunch here when we are in the Mount. Their most famous rolls are wrapped in a thin deep-fried layer of chicken or salmon and we struggle to go past them because they are so delicious!
