Leonard Day

Len began his real estate career in 1988 as a salesperson in Cairns, Australia, where he was quickly promoted to a management role. Alongside his achievements in sales, he demonstrated notable talent in leadership and auctioneering. Following a decade in the Australian market, Len moved to Auckland to join the Harveys group, focusing on auction procurement and calling. During his first 18 months there, he gained deep insight into the local market and city geography. He subsequently acquired a Harveys office in Blockhouse Bay, marking the launch of Austar Realty. Over the next nine years, he steered the team toward numerous accomplishments. In 2009, he partnered with Craig Smith to acquire offices in Titirangi and Green Bay, eventually expanding the business to five locations. Currently, Len serves as the Managing Director and Chairman of the Board for Austar Realty. While he no longer performs as an auctioneer, he is dedicated to mentoring staff members as they develop their own businesses. His ongoing commitment remains rooted in his lifelong passion for helping individuals reach their full potential.
