Melanie Attfield

Born in Clyde and raised in Alexandra, my journey took me to Christchurch, Australia, and Dunedin, where I earned an Office Administration qualification from Otago Polytechnic. Upon returning to Alexandra, I worked as a building company receptionist before transitioning into Early Childhood Teaching, a career I pursued for 17 years. In 2008, I met my partner Jason; we have since resided in Alexandra, Glenavy, and Twizel. Jason manages a dairy run-off in Duntroon, where our four children attend primary school. Recently, I moved from my role at Waitaki Valley Preschool in Kurow to my current position at the Otematata District Club. The Waitaki District is truly remarkable for its community and events. Across all my professional experiences, I have found fulfillment in assisting others with their needs, no matter the scale. I pride myself on being reliable, transparent, and committed to delivering high-quality service and communication.
