If you’re on the Otago Peninsula you must visit Allans Beach! Approximately a 30 minute drive from the city centre of Dunners, the sand dunes are a whole load of fun to roll down. There’s a whole heap of wildlife and is, overall, a peaceful spot for a swim or picnic with the family.

    Over a few fences, down a couple of sand dunes and hidden away in the corner of Allans Beach is arguably Dunedin’s best right-hand break. The Cove as its known, produces a slabby right-hander that’ll either leave you in tears or with the biggest grin you’ve ever had.
