Most Sunday evenings of the year you can solid stalwarts of the Wellington improv scene the Improvisors. Their family friendly evenings of mirth are a staple of the Wellington cultural landscape and always worth a visit.

If BATS and Downstage are the cool kids, Circa is the wise, hip parents. The elder statesmen (at least in feel and tone, Downstage and Circa match each other in actual years) of the scene, Circa’s work will made and well-honed like a solid leather shoe. Their market may skew a bit old, but they are serving their audience what they want the way they want it and props to them for that.

Amazing theatre with talented casts and a range of prices including under-35s ticket deals (not to be missed). I've seen a few shows here over the past few years and all of them have knocked my socks off. Most recently "Tribes" which chronicled a young man's experiences with deafness and his dysfunctional (or were they hyper-functional?) family. A real treat. There's a restaurant attached to Circa for your pre-show dinner - and of course, drinks and ice-creams at interval time.

Circa consistently has high quality, engaging theatre.

Great shows and food
