Don't tell anyone, but this little, unassuming Fish and Chip shop is also turning out some of Wellington's best Vietnamese food, all at "street food" prices.

Hidden down Bond street, this is a place you really have to be 'in the know' for it to be on your radar, even from the outside it gives very little away to the traditional and delicious steaming hot Pho that await you inside.

This is the place to fulfill all your dreams of having Vietnamese with a side of chips.

This place is the answer to any shady midday wake up, or any lazy, forgotten dinner. The unsuspecting tiny fish&chip/vietnamese place on Bond Street gets you and all your needs. You can only stomach fried rice? got it! Want to branch out a bit? best pho in town right here! It's not so easy on the eyes but all of the beauty is in the dishes. Good food at good prices, here for you at the worst of times.

One of Wellington's best kept secrets is the Pho at Fisherman's plate. Tucked just off Bond street, Fisherman's plate offers authentic Vietnamese food (and, oddly enough, fish n' chips), at exceedingly reasonable prices. Termed 'Vietnamese penicillin' this is perhaps the most delicious way to keep the colds at bay this freezy-season. A brothy, noodly soup topped with an array of condiments, such as sprouts and vietnamese mint...and the best part is, the Pho costs only $10, what more could you ask for, really!

A friend introduced me to this place and I love their vegetarian rice paper rolls, and their delicious Pho noodle soups #karenmurrell

My go to for rice paper rolls for lunch. So fresh n delicious!!

Number 18 - very yummy lunch

Not to be confused with everyone’s favourite harbour blight, Fisherman’s Table, Fisherman’s Plate is a central city fish and chippery that also makes delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Ask for ‘all sauces’ and prepare for your mind to be blown.

This innocuous little diner down Bond Street is one of Wellington’s gems. The Fisherman’s Plate serves up some of the best chips in Wellington as well as a selection of amazing fresh Vietnamese dishes. All amazing.

Few people might actually walk past this place day-to-day, but it is entirely worth seeking out. It doubles as both a takeaway and Vietnamese restaurant. I had beef pho and it was delicious.

Great Vietnamese and fried food. Wide range of food!

This place has a modest frontage and the decor is pretty basic to say the least. This in stark contrast to the amazing food on offer. Highlights include the special lamb noodle soup or pho - basically any of the asian food on the menu that isn't fish n chips is great (and costs next to nothing).
