Neat :)

After a busy day at the office, a Pad Thai is always top of the list for a lazy takeaway dinner. Thai Chilli, just down the road, used to be my favourite at $15 for a takeaway Pad Thai. However a friend introduced me to the Thai restaurant in Food Alley as a cheaper alternative at only $10. In all honesty, the difference was minimal. The portion sizes were equal, the taste just as beautiful as each other, but Food Alley came up trumps with the highlight of a Pad Thai - tonnes of crunchy peanut topping! At two thirds of the price of the place down the road, Food Alley comes up trumps every time. OK, so the food court itself isn't very appealing, the tables are a bit sticky and it can be utter chaos in there at times because it's so popular. But the food, the selections, the variety and the speed at which your food is freshly made and bagged up ready to go makes it ll worthwhile.

Super recommendation :)

So we came in about 9.30pm yesterday and most places at the food alley were closed or closing down. We asked a few if they would serve us but flatly refused even though last orders come through at 9.45. The lady at Seoul kitchen was closing but she said she would cook. We all had the BBQ Fish was fantastic as always. She waited until we were done eating and the servings were huge. And the ingredients tasted fresh as always.

Super :)

admittedly it's a bit grubby but the food is really good! try some fresh juice from the downstairs place while you're there

Love the food here. Especially the chicken rice stall and the Malaysian food.

Go to the back and head for Thai Noodles. Order chicken Tom Yum, the best in Auckland. Go easy on the chilli though.

Agreed - although the veggie version for me. The Malaysian noodle place a bit further in from the back door also does great noodle soups.

Great :)

Made my tummy hurt, but the gentle herbs and spices warmed  my throat and soothed my viracious appetite for Malaysian.
