Very cool bar. Restaurant downstairs, great bar upstairs. Go outside and relax in the sun on the balinese loungers (fits 4). Or at night snuggle under the blankets under the fairy lights. Or go for a mystery walk into the wardrobe and come out on the other side into another private bar. Great food and service.
Foxglove is an incredible designed Bar and Restaurant. The staff are super knowledgable, professional, and are able to talk you through the extensive selection of offerings. The Tapas and Al a Carte menu shouldn't be missed, perfect for a meal with friends or something more romantic. There is also a function room for hire, and a secret hidden bar.
WIth the evenings getting longer I'm looking forward to resurrecting my tradition of an after-work wine at Foxglove. It's only five minutes from Lambton Quay to the waterfront, but its indoor-outdoor flow and comfortable outside seating feels removed from the rat race – the perfect place to unwind after the working day. Their range of drinks and food is small but select – when it's hot enough I like to go for a cider or an elderflower and gin cocktail.
The name alone is enough really. Some regular drinkery could never be called Foxglove. Casting a velvet shadow across the waterfront, Foxglove is a David Lynch dream of a bar. The kind of exquisite place where you hook up with a flamenco dancer who turns out to be your father. Not literally, obviously.
An excellent waterfront spot for a summer’s afternoon or a night out, but the best part is the Narnia wardrobe leading you through to Foxtail, a wee whisky, champagne and cocktail bar. Both the hidden wardrobe and the drinks menu - with a heap of old-skool cocktails, like the Hemingway Daiquiri - will wow your out-of-town friends.
