Gorgeous place to have fish and chips and a sneaky brew

    The Hamilton Gardens are absolutely beautiful. Well worth a trip to Hamilton just to visit them alone.  There are a number of different themed gardens such as the Italian, Japanese, Modern American, Chinese, etc.  There's also a large pond and a cafe.  You could easily spend a whole day there, there are so many great gardens to look at.  They're particularly special to our family as my now-husband proposed to me there.  Then, once we had chosen a ring, we went back so he could give it to me in the gardens - and we got locked in!
