Most amazing set up. It is kept absolutely immaculate and is such a wonderful place to visit and share with whanau and friends. It is a must see when in, or passing through Hamilton city.

    One of the best times of year to re-visit this popular and beautiful public gardens, spring paints gorgeous colours as everything begins to bloom. Spend a morning admiring the various styles and trends in planting and design in the ‘Paradise’ section, which features Chinese and English Flower Gardens. Make sure you explore the Maori area, where you’ll find beautiful carvings and information on traditional techniques. Tip: Stop for coffee and a snack in the lakeside cafe.

      We're meant to remember to take the time to stop and smell the roses ... and the Hamilton Gardens is the right place to do it! Taking time out to wander around the gardens is really relaxing, they're so well looked after. The Maori garden especially is an interesting place to learn about the medicinal uses for plants, friends from overseas will find this fascinating.

        There are so many gardens to visit, picnic and admire, my personal favourite is the American garden and the beach as the kids can swim. Perfect place for kids to experience culture and nature!

          Something for everyone here. Good spot for picnic or just a walk to enjoy the gardens themselves. Also home of Te Parapara - New Zealand’s first traditional Maori garden.

                Loved Hamilton Gardens ever since I went and watched Shakespeare in the Park there. Not sure if they still do that in the summer but its a great spot for a picnic!

                  The Hamilton Gardens are my first choice picnic spot in Hamilton! My friends and I love packing a picnic and sitting in the rose gardens or on the grass by the lake. The gardens and very pretty and very peaceful to stroll around after finishing your picninc :D
