La Boca Loca is worth the trip to Miramar. If you’re planning a movie night at the Roxy, please don’t leave without dinner at La Boca Loca. To start, say yes to the chips and salsa. When I went, it seemed like every single person came right over after the film let out at the Roxy. Between a bit of a wait for food and extremely tempting margaritas, you’ll want something to pad your tummy before the entrees arrive. Try the burritos or tacos– both come in yummy vegetarian options.
Friendly staff, delicious food and a huge range of tequila - everything you could want in a Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas are killer! Plus La Boca Loca also sells tortillas and tortilla flour, salsas and spices in store and at the City Market, and regularly hosts food + drink-matching and tequila-tasting events.
I'm kicking myself we haven't checked out La Boca Loca sooner! Amazing atmosphere and Mexican feel make you feel free comfortable. I tried the house margarita which was sensational. For main I had the chicken enchiladas which was bloody good, and my wife's smoked fish burrito gave me a bit of food envy! The cheese dip came highly recommended from the awesome staff, and we could see why! So damn yummy. Find any excuse you can to have a date night and get here.
Miramar was never a destination suburb for me, but with the arrival of businesses like Cafe Polo and La Boca Loca, I'm really warming up to the place, and find myself out there more often than I expect. Earlier this year I attended a family birthday dinner at La Boca Loca and had an amazing time. The restaurant environment was aesthetically pleasing, but had a low key vibe. You could really kick back and enjoy yourself. Their fish tacos were mouthwatering, as were their small plates, starters and sides. We had some pretty delicious cocktails with our meal, and some superbly opulent dessert cakes at the end. I'm trying to figure out an excuse to head out there again. Maybe even tonight?
