Additional Information
Malt Bar in West Lynn is known for its pub quiz and its generous and inspired drinks specials, but it is also a great place for brunch and lunch times with a specialty brunch menu on offer on weekends and public holidays. Favourites in the neighbourhood include the Beef & Monteith’s Black pie and the open sandwich, both a great way to kick off the day after a large night.
Went to Malt bar for the first time on Sunday and I loved it. Great friendly atmosphere and happy helpful staff. What made it though was the awesome beer deals, at 4pm beers are only $4, 5pm $5 beers and 6pm $6 beers and so on. It pays to call up and reserve a table if there is a big group of you as the place fills up quickly. I'll definitely be heading back there this Sunday for sure,
Despite now living in Te Atatu South, Malt is a regular haunt for those Sunday afternoon catch ups with friends. The relaxed atmosphere, and the cosy outdoor courtyard make it the perfect meeting place. We love that the crowd are slighly older (not the teenagers you come to expect at the viaduct etc). The platters are excellent value, and my husband is a big fan of their 'on tap' beers. The pie is my personal favourite - nothing better than puffy pastry and a cold glass of wine. Love it. Will continue to make the journey from out West to enjoy the Malt experience!
