Maranui Cafe is a popular, quirky 40's style café based in the Surf Lifesaving Club in Lyall Bay. Coupling beautiful food with amazing views over Lyall Bay, this is a cafe that tends to create a long but patient queue of customers waiting out the doors over the weekend.

One of the more popular cafés in Wellington, it's known for its well priced yet decent meals, the friendly staff, and the crazy hustle and bustle atmosphere and the retro décor. This is one that is sure to please.

Get an iced chocolate and a long black. Pour the long black in the iced coffee. It is the most delicious thing you will ever have.

    Best cafe in Wellington! Everyone knows it though, so be prepared to wait for a table. And make sure you grab one of their date and orange scones to take home for later, they're to die for!! (I'm still trying to crack the recipe)

        Food plus views. The two things that make Maranui one of the best cafes in town. Go with a vege lover and they will definitely get their fill while you can choose from any of their other amazing brunch and lunch specialities.

          Love the coffee, consistant every time. Lovely food, and the Maranui Team are really wonderful! :)

                If you are willing to battle the masses for a table on a sunny Sunday then it’s worth the wait. Fantastic views across Lyall Bay, delicious cabinet cakes and treats, and coffee and shakes to wash it all down with. Always a perennial favourite on the Welly cafe scene.
