Martha's pantry is so ridiculously cute I'm at a loss for words. The soup of the day, which is always made with love, and comes with delicious crusty bread, is only $5. Top it off with some tea and a cupcake and macaroon, and enjoy the cozy atomosphere.

Home baking done to perfection is what the crew at Martha's Pantry are all about and come Anzac Day, their baked-with-love creations are some of the best in New Zealand. Not only do they do a mean Anzac bikkie but they've also got something a little special on the shelves that the locals in the know tell me is the absolute treat of the year. They've produced a selection of their incredible cupcakes with edible poppies on top. Now that's worth a flight to Welly just to indulge!

Hidden away on upper Cuba, Martha’s Pantry is a girly haven. Boasting a delicious tea selection as well as a cute selection of fine bone china and collectable spoons. Dressing up is optional, but why not embrace it? Bookings are recommended because this place does get busy!

Stepping into Martha’s Pantry is like stepping back in time, or visiting your grandma’s house. Everything is pink and/or covered in lace. Food is served on old mismatched china; teapots are covered with knitted tea cosies; and beverages come with dinky commemorative teaspoons. It’s most popular for its High Tea, where a variety of bite-sized sweet treats are served on a three-tier cake stand. Bookings are essential.

Walking into Martha’s Pantry is like walking into an old fashioned ladies tea room. This little cafe has a lovely calm and homely feel to it with its carefully crafted cakes and cabinet food and mixed-matched cups and spoons. The tea menu is extensive and the tea itself is served in a large tea pot with a colourful knitted tea cosy, just like nan would have. High tea is also available for approx $28 per person, but well worth the cost for a delicious afternoon of treats and tea.

I love Martha's Pantry, it's so well decorated that you feel like you're walking into a girl's idea of heaven. Their food is scrumptious and high teas are so decadent that you'll want more, even if your stomach is screaming 'No'! Martha's is child friendly, with kids' high teas on offer, so we can all have a coffee while my nieces and nephews act like little princesses/princes with a high tea of their own!

Cupcakes and tea. What more could you want???

It’s always a sassy party at Martha’s! Especially when you have the ever so sassy Henri serving you! :) Martha’s is brilliant for scones, lemon meringue pies, fresh cupcakes and super yummy passion fruit melting moments! Defs a must go if you’re visiting Welly! :) Stepping into Martha’s is like stepping into the cupcake world of Narnia. Decorations are so vintage and so happifying, it just brings a wide smile to your face! If you ever need a little pick me up, Martha’s the place to be!

Very cute but busy so book ahead. Their high tea is great value and if you go with a big group you can get a selection of nice tea.

Usually too crowded. But very cute.
